Installation Instructions for Super TUFF-R™
Super TUFF-R™ polyisocyanurate insulation combines strength and R-value to deliver one of the most durable insulation products offered today. It has a patented high-performance foam core with patented three-ply poly/aluminum foil facers laminated to the core, resulting in unsurpassed durability. One facer is painted black; the other facer is radiant barrier-quality reflective foil. The facers combine for stiffness, durability, handling ease and superior R-value.
Super TUFF-R insulation offers the highest insulation value of any foam sheathing. The facers provide vapor diffusion retarder properties that reduce water and water vapor infiltration through the foam core. Super TUFF-R reduces air infiltration through the wall by covering cracks between framing members and sealing tightly against the studs. Super TUFF-R insulation should be installed where it will be covered with a minimum of 1/2" gypsum board, or equivalent, thermal barrier.

Building Code Compliance
Complies with ASTM C1289 Type I, Class 1. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See NES NER 616.
**Not all product sizes are available in all regions.
†R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2•h•°F/Btu.
††Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation or at yield, whichever occurs first.
1 R-value determined by ASTM C518.
Not available in all areas. Available in the East and in Colorado and New Mexico.
