WEATHERMATEâ„¢ Weather Barrier Solutions limited warranties from Dow offer builders and remodelers in the United States added assurance in managing moisture and increasing the energy efficiency of their structures.
WEATHERMATE Weather Barrier Solutions products when used in conjunction with rigid foam insulation from Dow provide exceptional insulation performance, reduced air infiltration and increased moisture resistance within framed wall assemblies, enabling a builder to choose Dow to fulfill its insulation, thermal performance, air retardation and water-resistive barrier (WRB) needs.

| A.  | WEATHERMATE™ Plus Housewrap is expressly warranted for a period of (10) years from purchase that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship and perform to Dow's published physical property specifications when installed in strict accordance to Dow's installation procedures and accepted industry standards in a standard water-resistive barrier vertical wall application. Installation must include the use of WEATHERMATE™ Construction Tape, WEATHERMATE™ Straight and/or Flexible Flashings, WEATHERMATE™ Sill Pan and one or more of the following Dow brand products (STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation(1), Dow polyisocyanurate insulation(1), and/or GREAT STUFF PRO™ Window & Door Insulating Foam Sealant), in a properly designed and constructed wall system. In the event of a warranty claim, Dow will only be responsible for and will pay for the cost of the WEATHERMATE Plus Housewrap that is the subject of the claim and labor to correct problems found to be caused solely by the failure of the WEATHERMATE Plus Housewrap to perform according to the published physical property specifications as expressly warranted above. This warranty does not apply to loss or damage due to abuse, mishandling, accident, or damage caused primarily by someone or something other than WEATHERMATE Plus Housewrap from Dow. |
| B. | WEATHERMATE™ Construction Tape is expressly warranted for a period of (10) years from purchase that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship and perform to Dow's published physical property specifications when installed in strict accordance to Dow's installation procedures. Installation must include the use of one or more of the following Dow brand products (STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation(1) and/or Dow polyisocyanurate rigid foam insulations(1) that qualify as a water-resistive barrier(2), and/or WEATHERMATE™ Plus Housewrap), in a properly designed and constructed wall system. Material found to be defective will be replaced at no charge by Dow, but in no event shall Dow be liable for any other costs or damages, including any labor costs. |
| C. | WEATHERMATEâ„¢ Straight and/or Flexible Flashing is expressly warranted for a period of (10) years from purchase that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship and perform to Dow's published physical property specifications when installed in strict accordance to Dow's installation procedures. Installation must include the use (STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation(1) and/or Dow polyisocyanurate rigid foam insulations(1) that qualify as a water-resistive barrier(2), and/or WEATHERMATEâ„¢ Plus Housewrap), in a properly designed and constructed wall system. Material found to be defective will be replaced at no charge by Dow, but in no event shall Dow be liable for any other costs or damages, including any labor costs. |
| D. | WEATHERMATE™ Sill Pan is expressly warranted for a period of (10) years from purchase that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship and perform to Dow's published physical property specifications when installed in strict accordance to Dow's installation procedures. Installation must include WEATHERMATE™ Straight and/or Flexible Flashing, GREAT STUFF PRO™ Window & Door Insulating Foam Sealant and the use of one or more of the following Dow brand products (STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation(1) and/or Dow polyisocyanurate rigid foam insulations(1) that qualify as a water-resistive barrier(2), and/or WEATHERMATE™ Plus Housewrap), in a properly designed and constructed wall system. Material found to be defective will be replaced at no charge by Dow, but in no event shall Dow be liable for any other costs or damages, including any labor costs. |
| E. | GREAT STUFF PRO™ Window & Door Insulating Foam Sealant is expressly warranted for a period of (10) years from the date of purchase that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship when installed in strict accordance to Dow's installation procedures and usage guidelines and limitations. Foam must be dispensed within recommended shelf life of 12 months from production (see bottom of can). Installation must include WEATHERMATE™ Straight and/or Flexible Flashing, WEATHERMATE™ Sill Pan, and the use of one or more of the following Dow brand products (STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation(1) and/or Dow polyisocyanurate rigid foam insulations(1) that qualify as a water-resistive barrier(2), and/or WEATHERMATE™ Plus Housewrap), in a properly designed and constructed wall system. Material found to be defective will be replaced at no charge by Dow, but in no event shall Dow be liable for any other costs or damages, including any labor costs. |

(1) 15-year limited thermal warranties are also available in the United States for STYROFOAM™ Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation (121KB PDF) and Dow polyisocyanurate insulation (95KB PDF) products. Your Dow Sales Representative can also provide additional details.
(2) The following Dow insulated sheathing products qualify as a WRB when installed according to Dow installation instructions and therefore do not require the use of a building paper or a housewrap as a WRB:

The above limited warranties do not cover damage caused by exposure to sunlight for period longer than one hundred twenty days. NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN; ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.
These limited warranties are available to licensed builders and applies to all WEATHERMATE™ products listed above and purchased on or after November 1, 2006. Any claims made under this warranty must be promptly made in writing, upon notice of the claim, to:

Acceptable validation of purchase date (copy/letter of invoice from builder, building material supplier invoice), is to be included with all written claims. If Dow determines that an investigation for the claim is necessary, the claimant must allow access to a Dow representative to view/access the property specified in the claim, including the taking of photographs and samples as required.
