Designed to comply with a university policy that mandates all new building and renovation projects exceeding $10 million follow USGBC LEED certification requirements, the state-of-the-art center will be a model of energy efficiency and comfort for the school's nationally recognized basketball programs.

 About 20,000 board feet of 2" thick THERMAX™ (ci) Exterior Insulation covers the walls of the Carmelo Anthony Center.

 The architect on the project estimates potential energy savings of up to 21 percent from the ASHRAE 90.1 baseline.
