TUFF-Râ„¢ Commercial Insulation features a patented high-performance polyisocyanurate foam core with reflective/radiant barrier-quality aluminum foil facers on both sides, providing additional durability.

TUFF-R™ Commercial Insulation is used in commercial construction behind a minimum 1/2" gypsum board or equivalent thermal barrier interior finish.

Building Code Compliance

Complies with ASTM C1289 Type I, Class 2. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See ICC-ES NER-616. Calif. Std. Reg. # CA T383. FM specification tested.

(2) R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2• h•°F/Btu. R-value determined by ASTM C518.

(3) Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation or yield, whichever occurs first. Since Dow polyisocyanurate insulation is a visco-elastic material, adequate design safety factors should be used to prevent long-term creep. For static loads, 3:1 is suggested. For dynamic loads, 5:1 is suggested.
