Longitudinal scores on STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand SCOREBOARDâ„¢ Insulation make it easy to size to commonly used widths for exterior wall cavity and foundation applications.

STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand SCOREBOARDâ„¢ Insulation is scored longitudinally on 16" and 24" centers, making it easy to snap the extruded polystyrene boards into commonly used widths for use in exterior cavity wall and foundation applications. Square edge treatment on all four sides.

Building Code Compliance

Complies with ASTM C578 Type IV. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See ICC-ES NER-699, BOCA-ES RR 21-02, ICBO-ES ER-2257. UL Classified, see Classification Certificate D369. Calif. Std. Reg. # CA T064. Florida Building Code FL 3835.

(1) Not all product sizes are available in all regions.

(2) R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2• h•°F/Btu. R-value determined by ASTM C518.

(3) Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation (5% for STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand PLAZAMATEâ„¢ Insulation and for STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand HIGHLOAD 40, 60 and 100 Insulation products) or at yield, whichever occurs first. Since STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand Extruded Polystyrene and Dow polyisocyanurate insulation products are visco-elastic materials, adequate design safety factors should be used to prevent long-term creep. For static loads, 3:1 is suggested. For dynamic loads, 5:1 is suggested.
