With a planed surface, STYROFOAMâ„¢ Brand DECKMATEâ„¢ Plus FA Insulation is designed for use in fully adhered conventional low-slope roof applications. The Type IV extruded polystyrene foam insulation boards can be installed directly on structural steel decks beneath a non-bituminous sheet membrane, eliminating the need for a thermal barrier. Available in flat and tapered board stock.
Building Code Compliance
Complies with ASTM C578 Type IV. Meets CAN/ULC S701 Type 3. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See ESR-2142, BOCA-ES RR 21-02, ICBO-ES ER-2257, ICBO-ES ER 5155, CCMC - Evaluation Listing #12085-L. UL Classified, see Classification Certificate D369.

(1) Not all product sizes are available in all regions. (2) R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2• h•°F/Btu. RSI values are expressed in m2 °C/W. R-value determined by ASTM C518. (3) Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation (5% for STYROFOAM™ Brand PLAZAMATE™ Insulation and for STYROFOAM™ Brand HIGHLOAD 40, 60 and 100 Insulation products) or at yield, whichever occurs first. Since STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene and Dow polyisocyanurate insulation products are visco-elastic materials, adequate design safety factors should be used to prevent long-term creep. For static loads, 3:1 is suggested. For dynamic loads, 5:1 is suggested. |
