Comfort, moisture management and energy efficiency, that is – with WEATHERMATE™ housewraps from Dow.

No matter how well designed, exterior claddings are not watertight. That’s why many builders choose to use housewrap as a secondary water-resistive barrier.

As part of an integrated approach to weatherization and improving a building’s energy efficiency, WEATHERMATE™ Housewrap and WEATHERMATE™ Plus - Housewrap from Dow provide a protective continuous membrane to cover cracks and gaps between exterior sheathing and seams of rigid foam insulation or non-insulating sheathings like OSB.

Dow’s polyolefin-based transparent housewraps help prevent water and air infiltration. The products are also breathable, allowing damaging water vapor to escape from behind the housewrap, yet are durable and highly tear-resistant.
