Steel stud construction offers an economical and versatile wall system in commercial and multi-story construction. However, steel studs can also contribute to unique challenges, including moisture accumulation and lowered system R-value.

Continuous insulation (ci) on steel stud cavity walls is becoming increasingly popular for:

Minimizing thermal bridging through the steel studs
Improving performance of batt insulation
Moderating wall cavity temperatures
Lessening condensation within wall cavity
