Dow Solar will also announce the three final winners of its international Design to Zero Competition in the booth on Wednesday, February 8th and live via the Design to Zero Facebook page. Dow will award each of the final three winning teams with cash prizes for their innovative net-zero energy designs.  Throughout the show there will also be informative product demonstrations from Dow experts that highlight industry leading insulation and air sealing building products.

Here are some of the latest developments Dow will feature in their booth, #W829, at IBS 2012:

The Art of Energy Efficient Building – The Right Products and Tools:

Shaping a Better Tomorrow:

  • Dow Solar will announce the winners of its Design to Zero Competition at IBS; contestants were challenged to develop and propose innovative design concepts to achieve affordable, high performing and energy-efficient housing solutions on a global scale. Teams of undergraduate and graduate students world-wide were assigned to design a building comprised of three connected dwellings; each of the dwellings must have active and passive solar technologies to achieve near-zero energy solutions.

Gallery of Real Life Masterpieces:

  • Visit the gallery of recent Dow project profiles to see how builders are collaborating with Dow and utilizing their vast portfolio and industry expertise to craft homes that serve as real-life examples of energy efficient building. Working closely with valued customers such as David Weekley Homes, D.R. Horton, Meritage Homes, Heartland Homes, Cobblestone Homes, Miller Homes, and Habitat for Humanity, Dow will show that sustainable living can be attainable today.

The Artists at Work – In-Booth Demonstrations:
