Dow Building Solutions re-constructs commercial team to advance customer service

Dow Building Solutions - supplier of the world-famous STYROFOAM™ insulation material - has re-structured its sales team to create a more simplified and transparent commercial structure for customers.
The new structure will allow the company to better showcase its ever-expanding range of new tools and technology advances - and make doing business with Dow as straightforward as possible.
Previously based on a geographical structure, Dow's commercial team now consists of account managers responsible for specific applications nationally: flat roofing, specialist fabrication (e.g. panel technology) transport industry, flooring, cold storage and spray polyurethane foams and adhesives.
As experts in their field, the account managers not only make commercial decisions but are also able to offer a level of technical understanding which Dow knows is highly valued by its customers.
"Crucially, this means that when our customers are doing business with our account managers they know they are talking to the decision makers," explains Matthew Dyke, National Distributor Account Manager for Dow Building Solutions.
Richard Powell, National Roofing Account Manager, continued: "Of course, for exceptional requests we are always backed up by our team of technical experts who bring a wealth of knowledge ranging from legislative changes affecting thermal insulation to practical on-site know-how and problem solving. The whole commercial team is highly trained with many of us gaining experience from working with Dow across many countries."
Over the coming months, Dow Building Solutions' customers will see a number of exciting new initiatives being rolled out through the new commercial structure, including STYROFOAM-A, a sustainable insulation material new to the UK market.
Jayne Law, UK and Ireland sales manager for Dow Building Solutions, said she was looking forward to hearing customers' thoughts on the new structure: "If I know our customers they won't be backward in coming forward to tell us how we're doing!", she said. "But that's good - it's our aim to make doing business with us as easy and efficient as possible, and we'll continue to make improvements where we can."
