The planned efficiency of thermal insulation in pitched roofs can be achieved when thermal bridges are prevented: either the thermal insulation should be installed above the rafters or a timber/concrete deck, or at least a part of the insulation should be installed as a continuous layer above or below the rafters, not interrupted by any structural element, thus minimizing the cold bridges. For this application a rigid insulation material with high strength is demanded, being capable of resisting the loads: weight of roof covering, snow, wind-load, etc.
STYROFOAM™ solutions for the insulation of pitched roofs:
- STYROFOAM SM-TG-A
- boards with all-round tongue and groove edge profile.
When the insulation boards are laid on a timber or concrete deck, STYROFOAM SM-TG-A product also offer a proper technical solution.
Using STYROFOAM SM-TG-A boards offer various solutions for different pitched roof build-ups, both for new construction or renovation.
