Boosting Energy Efficiency & Emission Reduction in Northwest China : Dow XPS EIFS Launched in Xi’an Market

The 3^rd China (Xi’an) International Building Energy Efficiency Technology and Equipment Trade Show was held on May 20, 2009 in Xi’an which was organized by the Residential Industrialization Promotion Center of the Shaanxi Department of Construction. Dow Building Solutions launched the new system – XPS EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finishing System) in Northwest market at the exhibition.  Dow was awarded by the organizer with ‘the Best Energy Efficiency Contributor’ which was the only award that the organizer set up in this industry during the show.

The exhibition is a grand industry gathering under the background that China is implementing the Scientific Development Outlook to build a resources-saving and harmonious society, promote comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable social & economic development. Given the current world economic crisis, the exhibition provided a very important opportunity for promoting various energy-saving products, new wall materials, new heating products/technologies for buildings and their applications in the market, also for strengthening technical/business cooperation between enterprises and their customers.

Mr. Zhang Yang, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) , Mr. Xue Jiarui, Director of the Shaanxi Municipal Building Energy Saving & Wall Material Reform Office attended the trade show and visited Dow booth.  Mr. David Chen Marketing Manager of Dow Building Solutions delivered the opening speech on behalf of the exhibitors.
